More Than a Fundraiser: Introducing the First I AM Youth Market


What if fundraising could become a learning experience?


What if youth could gain confidence, communication skills, leadership experience, and entrepreneurial thinking while working toward a goal they care about?


That's exactly why we created the I AM Youth Market.

On June 14, 2026, United We Go will host the very first I AM Youth Market, a youth-led community event designed to help young people raise funds for their participation in the 4th Annual I AM Youth Fashion Show while gaining real-world experience along the way.

But this event is about much more than raising money.



Learning Through Experience

At United We Go, we believe some of life's most valuable lessons happen outside of a classroom.

The I AM Youth Market provides youth with an opportunity to:

✨ Practice communication skills

✨ Build self-confidence

✨ Learn entrepreneurship

✨ Develop leadership abilities

✨ Understand goal setting and fundraising

✨ Interact with community members

✨ Experience the value of hard work and creativity

Whether a youth chooses to sell handmade items, artwork, gently used clothing, toys, books, or other treasures, they will gain hands-on experience in presenting themselves, interacting with customers, and sharing their story.


Supporting Their Own Journey

For many of our youth, participation in the I AM Youth Fashion Show is a confidence-building journey.


Instead of simply asking families to cover participation expenses, we wanted to create an opportunity where youth could actively contribute toward their own goals.


By participating in the Youth Market, young people learn that when they have a dream, they can take meaningful steps toward making it happen.


That lesson alone is worth far more than any dollar amount raised.


Building Community Together

The I AM Youth Market is also an opportunity for families, friends, neighbors, and community members to come together in support of our youth.


Every purchase, donation, conversation, and encouraging word helps young people feel seen, valued, and supported.


When youth experience a community that believes in them, amazing things happen.

Confidence grows.

Leadership develops.

Dreams become possible.

The event is open to youth ages 4–17 and welcomes both participants in the I AM Youth Fashion Show and other community youth who would like to gain experience in entrepreneurship and community engagement.
