The City of Mural Community Festival is back—with something new!
This year, we're excited to announce that ๐ญ๐ฐ๐จ new murals will be created in Bay City during August 11–16. We'll be revealing the mural locations soon, so stay tuned!
To celebrate the festival and help shape its future, we're introducing our very first ๐๐๐ข๐ง๐ญ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐ค—๐ ๐จ๐ง๐-๐๐๐ฒ ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐๐ฎ๐ง๐๐ซ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐๐ซ ๐๐ญ ๐๐๐ง๐จ๐ง๐๐ก ๐๐๐ซ๐ค.
Join us as we celebrate everything we've accomplished over the past three years while looking ahead to the next chapter of Bay City's public art movement.
Explore completed murals, watch artists create new works on the Friendship Wall, meet local artists, enjoy live entertainment, and help us raise funds for the next generation of public art projects.
Every dollar raised supports future mural installations, youth art opportunities, and community collaborations that continue to make Bay City a more vibrant and welcoming place.

We're looking for artists to help shape Bay City's next chapter!
Submit your original mural design for one of seven future mural walls.Artists from Bay City, across Michigan, and beyond are invited to apply.

After submissions close, the community vote will take into the consideration for the finalist designs. Selected murals will be installed over the coming years as sponsorship funding becomes available.

The 2026 City of Mural Community Festival once again proved that public art is about so much more than painting walls—it's about bringing people together, creating opportunities, and building a stronger community.

โจ This year's highlights included:
๐๏ธ Three new murals completed
• A new interior mural at Calypso Wine Bar by Ben Harrison (Zaxerl)
• A refreshed entrance at the Historic Masonic Temple by Sergio Arce
• A brand-new mural on the Friendship Wall by Jamie

๐จ Paint the Park made its debut at Wenonah Park, bringing together artists, vendors, musicians, volunteers, families, and community members for a full day of creativity and celebration.

๐๏ธ Local vendors, food trucks, nonprofits, and our Youth Market showcased the incredible talent and entrepreneurial spirit throughout the Great Lakes Bay Region.

๐ฉ๐จ Young artists joined us for our hands-on Youth Mural Workshop, painting side by side and experiencing the joy of creating public art.

๐ถ Live music, live painting, and the 30 Collection Silent Auction helped create a festival that celebrated art in many different forms.

โค๏ธ None of this would have been possible without our mural artists, property owners, sponsors, volunteers, donors, community partners, vendors, performers, photographers, families, and every single person who stopped by to support the festival.

Since launching in 2023, the City of Mural Community Festival has continued to grow because of this community. Together, we're transforming walls into landmarks, creating opportunities for artists, inspiring young people, supporting local businesses, and making Bay City a more vibrant and welcoming place.
This may be the end of the 2026 festival, but it's only the beginning of what's next. We can't wait to continue this movement with all of you.
