Event Volunteer Positions
Welcome to the United We Go Annual Event and Annual City of Mural Community Festival hosted by United We Go, a community organization dedicated to promoting diversity, harmony, and community engagement.
We are indeed need local volunteers support and help to make sure this event successfully implemented in our Bay City Community. We are looking for following volunteer positions.

we will have volunteer orientations every month, you only need to attend one of those orientations. We will also add you to a facebook volunteer group or a text message group once we accept your application, so we can keep each other informed for any changes.
A week or days before the official event, we will gather all the volunteer to meet and great to connect with each other. We will update the special date for meet and greet when we leaning into August.
Each volunteer will have a special "United We Go" "City of Mural" t-shirt, your name tag for the festival, water and work lunch will be provided, each volunteer will receive the recognition from United We Go after the event for your volunteer hours.

Vendor Section
4 Volunteers

In charge of vendor sign in, fill the sign in sheet, direct them to the designated spot, assist vendor to set up their tents

Direct vendors to the right person if they have questions about the event.

Collect the last minute vendor fee if it applies

Main person to communicate if vendors need to leave early or come late

Organizing vendor information, working with MJ to make sure the vendors got shout out at the event.
Musician Section
3 Volunteers

Get in touch with musician before the event to make sure musician knows their show time

Organizing musician profiles at the day of the event, work with MJ to make sure the musician got shout out at the festival with correct band information

Be the contact person for the musician, help them to sign in and direct them to the right spot for the right time for the performance
Food Truck Section
2 Volunteers

Get in touch with the food trucks before the event, make sure they know when and where to show up at the festival

Day of the event, make sure food truck arrive on time and arrange them to the right spot for the event

Collect the last minute vendor fee if it applies

Main person to communicate if vendors need to leave early or come late
Mural Section
4 Volunteers
Familiar or passionate about mural creation, working with large mural artists and also small mural creation artists at the event.

Get in touch with mural artists before event to make sure when and where the artists gonna arrive

Collect mural artists bios to make sure they get shout out during the event

Support mural artists sign in

Communication person for any needs from the mural team

Assist community groups come in for the mural painting

You are also welcome to be part of the assisting painting team, however, support the mural artists is your priority
Event Stage Sound Entertainment Tech
2 Volunteers
Awesome individual that very familiar with sound system. This position may also be The general Musician Section Volunteer.

Work with Musician closely

Make sure the sound system on the stage is working properly,

Trouble shooting any sound issues on set
Event MJ
2 Volunteers
Amazing individual / individuals who has big event host experience, passionate and grounded to Co host the event with the host.

Passionate with community work, uplift the energy during the event

Give shout out to the sponsors, vendors, artists, musicians during the event

Flexible and work with the flow at the event

Sense of humor, open minded, welcoming.
United We Go Info Desk
2 Volunteer
Welcoming, patient, detailed individual. Volunteering at the United We Go Information desk.

Help volunteers to sign in during those two days event, hand out the name tag and any other items to the volunteers.

Collect any fees from last minute vendors,

Collect funds from donations and United We Go merchandises

Sell raffle tickets to the public

Work closely with other volunteers to be able to direct people to specific volunteer to get supported
Event Production
Volunteer 2
Working with event director to make sure the important pics and videos are captured with the specific requirements.

The connection person for the photographer and videographer
-
Check in with photographer and videographer to make sure the footage is captured with certain requirement
-
Gather the event footage during and after event.
